LG announces festive-season price drops on the G4 and G4 Stylus
The LG G4 was originally launched for Rs. 51,000, and is now available for Rs. 40,000 for the Ceramic White variant and Rs. 45,000 for the leather back edition. The LG G4 Stylus will be available for Rs. 21,000, down from the previous price of Rs. 24,990. These smartphones are already available at cheaper rates from online retail websites.
"This festive season we wanted to give consumers something to cheer about. The G4 and G4 Stylus are our best offerings in India this year and we have received a phenomenal response to these smartphones till now. With a further revision in prices, we are extending the availability to more and more people to enjoy the superior immersive & innovative experience these phones offer," said Amit Gujral, Marketing Head, LG Mobiles, India.
LG G4 features 5.5-inch QHD IPS Quantum display, 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card), 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 lens, 8-megapixel front camera, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with UX 4.0 on top and 3000mAh battery.
LG G4 Stylus comes with a rubberdium Stylus for note taking. It features 5.7-inch HD IPS display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, 4G LTE, 3000mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Yu YUREKA Plus gets Rs. 1,000 permanent price cut, now available for Rs. 8,999
Micromax subsidary YU Televentures, last month launched its third smartphone, the Yu Yureka Plus for Rs. 9,999. It is an updated version of Yu Yureka with 5.5-inch 1080p display. The company sold 50,000 units of the Yu Yureka Plus in its first online flash sale exclusively on Amazon India.
Now Yu has announced a price cut of Rs. 1000 for Yu Yureka Plus, it will now be available for Rs. 8,999 from the next flash sale on August 6, for which registration are now open and will close August 4 midnight. Also, existing users of Yu Yureka Plus will receive gift card worth Rs. 1000 from Amazon India.
The Price cut comes just within two weeks of the launch. This move by Yu seems to be a desperate attempt to keep the Yureka Plus afloat in the market against the likes of recently launched Motorola Moto G 3rd gen and Lenovo K3 Note.
To recap, Yu Yureka Plus packs 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB on-board storage (microSD card support up to 32GB), 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front shooter, dual-SIM slot, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 2500mAh battery. It runs Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and comes in Moondust Grey and Alabaster White flavors.
Motorola Moto E 2nd gen 3G and 4G variants get Rs. 1,000 price cut
Motorola's popular budget smartphone Moto E 2nd gen has become more affordable. Motorola has slashed the price of Moto E 2nd gen 3G and 4G variant by Rs. 1000 each. The Moto E 2nd gen 3G and 4G variant are now available via Flipkart for Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999 accordingly. Notably, both the models of Moto E 2nd gen are originally priced Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,999 respectively.
In addition, Motorola is also holding an exchange offer on the Moto E (Gen 2) 3G and 4G variant that can get you up to Rs. 2,000 off with an eligible smartphone.
The Moto E Gen 2 features 4.5-inch qhd IPS display, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 5MP/0.3MP camera, dual-SIM support, Bluetooth and WiFi. The 3G variant is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor while the 4G variant is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor.
Earlier this month the second gen Moto G got a price cut of Rs. 3,000. It is now available for Rs. 9,999.
The price cut came soon after Motorola scheduled an event in India taking place on July 28, where the brand is expected to launch third gen models of Moto G and Moto X, so this could mean a permanent price cut.
