Samsung India discontinues 128GB Galaxy S6/S6 edge
When Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in April at MWC, the handsets were available in three storage variants - 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Now, it appears like Samsung India has halted the sales of 128GB variant of Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in the country. It is also being reported that the 128GB version is discontinued in Netherlands as well.
This information comes for the Samsung India website which now lists only 32GB and 64GB variant on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge product page. It is not clear as to why Samsung has discontinued the sales of the 128GB variant. However the reason could be the pricing which led to poor sales. Notably, the 128GB of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge were priced at Rs. 61,900 and Rs. 70,900 accordingly.
The 128GB variant of Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are still listed on Samsung's websites in other market including the U.S, Canada, Singapore and the U.K.
