Selfie-centric Micromax Canvas Selfie 2, Canvas Selfie 3 launched
Micromax launched two new selfie-centric smartphone in its 'Canvas Selfie' range dubbed Canvas Selfie 2 and Canvas Selfie 3.
Canvas Selfie 2 is equipped with a 5-megapixel front shooter with OmniVision (OV5670) sensor and 4P lens while the Canvas Selfie 3 sports 8-megapixel front shooter with Sony MX179 sensor, LED flash and 78-degrees wide angle lens. As for the main camera unit, Canvas Selfie 2 comes with 5-megapixel snapper with LED flash, Omni Vision (OV5648) and 4P lens. The Canvas Selfie 3 sports 8-megapixel rear camera with Blue Glass 5P Largan Lens with LED flash.
Individually Micromax Canvas Selfie 2 features 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage (up to 32GB supported). It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, has dual-SIM slots and runs 2000mAh battery. It comes in black color with leather-like finish.
Micromax Canvas Selfie 3 on the other hand comes with a 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside there is an 1.3-GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 8GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs Android OS (unspecified), has dual SIM slot and is backed by 2300mAh battery. It comes in Blue, Green, Purple, Sky Blue and Yellow colors. The company is also giving a Bluetooth-enabled selfie stick along with the phone.
Micromax Canvas Selfie 2 and Canvas Selfie 3 offer the usual suite of connectivity including 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Micromax Canvas Selfie 2 has been priced at Rs. 5,9999 and will be available across all online and offline stores starting August 22. The Micromax Canvas Selfie 3 will go on sale in the last week of August, no word on its price.
