Mysterious Asus ZenFone Z00TDA gets TENAA certification
We have already seen an explosion of mass ZenFone variants. Within a few weeks we have seen ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Max, ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Deluxe hit the market. And it seems that Asus has one more device up its sleeve.
An unannounced Asus ZenFone variant carrying model number ASUS Z00TDA have been certified by China's Telecommunication Equipement Certification Center, also known as TENAA, revealing some if its specs. TENAA has also snapped pictures of the phone.
As per TENAA listing, ASUS_Z00TDA has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage (up to 32GB supported).
Camerwise, it sports 13-megapixel rear unit and 5-megapixel shooter for clicking selfies and handling video chat. It runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS connectivity. The phone measures 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.8mm, weighs 170g and comes in Gold and Silver flavors.
Asus ZenFone Go with MediaTek SoC showcased at ZenFestival in India
At its ZenFestival 2015 event in India, Asus showcased the company's first smartphone to be powered by MediaTek processor, the ZenFone Go.
Asus have been using Intel Atom processor on ZenFone series since it was first introduced at CES 2014. Earlier this year Asus CEO Jerry Shen revealed that it plans to introduce ZenFone 2 series phone with Snapdragon and MediaTek SoC. The Snapdragon variant was for the mass market while the MediaTek powered ZenFone was for India. “For 3G phones that are popular in markets like India, the company plans to launch a MediaTek-based ZenFone in the second half of 2015 as the successor to the current Intel-based models,” wrote Focus Taiwan citing Jerry Shen.
Coming back to Asus ZenFone Go, it is a dual-SIM handset that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZenUI on top and supports 3G connectivity. Unfortunately 4G LTE is not supported.
ZenFone Go features 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS display which works out into 294ppi and is powered 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor with 2GB RAM and Mali-450 MP2 GPU. It comes in two storage options 8GB or 16GB, expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. Camerwise, ZenFone Go sports 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual-LED flash and 2-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and A-GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 2070mAh battery and comes in Pure Black, Ceramic White or Glamour Red flavors.
Asus ZenFone 2 is expected to come with a price tag starting from Rs. 9,999. Availability details are not out yet.
Asus ZenFone Max with 5000mAh battery launched in India
At the Asus ZenFestival 2015 event in India, Asus has launched the ZenFone Max. The handset offers a large display and impressive battery life. The ZenFone Max can also be used a battery charger.
Asus ZenFone Max features 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Inside there is a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. It comes in two storage variant- 8GB or 16GB, expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI 2.0 on top, has dual-SIM slot and supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by a massive 5000mAh battery that is non-removable and has a leather back finish.
Camerwise, it sports 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Real Tone Flash and Laser Auto Focus. On the front there is an 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degress wide-angle lens.
Asus has not revealed the pricing of ZenFone Max, but did mention that it will go on sale in October.
Asus Zenfone Selfie with 13MP front, rear camera launched in India for Rs. 15,999
Asus has launched the selfie-centric, ZenFone selfie in India at the ZenFestival. It was initially launched at Computex, Teipei.
The Asus ZenFone Selfie sports 13-megapixel front camera with dual-color Real Tone flash, 1/3.07 Toshiba sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 88-degree wide-viewing lens. The rear side sports a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, Real Tone flash and Laser Auto Focus The front camera comes with beautification mode for quality selfies and can can span up to 140 degress in the selfie Panorama mode. Other modes include low light mode, Backlight (HDR) mode, manual mode and zero shutter lag.
ZenFone Selfie features 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS LCD display powered by Asus TruVivid technology with later of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood there is a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 (1.7GHz quad-core and 1GHz quad-core) processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU.
The ZenFone Selfie comes in 2GB RAM or 3GB RAM variants and also comes with a choice of 16GB or 32GB internal storage. For storage expansion there is microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB microSD cards. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI on top, has dual SIM slot and is fuelled by 3000mAh battery.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS/A-GPS, micro-USB port and support for dual-SIM (Micro-SIM). It measures 156.5 x 77.2 x 10.8, weighs 170g and will be available in Pure White, Aqua Blue and Chick Pink colors.

The main highlight is the Laser Auto Focus and is loaded with ASUS PixelMaster 2.0 camera technology. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens for taking selfies and making video calls.

There is also a 6-inch display model that has dual-SIM slot and 4G LTE connectivity. The full specs will be revealed in the coming days.
Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 (ZE550KL) 2GB RAM/SD 410 and 3GB RAM/SD 615 variants are priced at Rs. 9,999 and 13,999 respectively. The Asus ZenFone Laser 6 (ZE601KL) is priced at Rs. 17,999.

It comes in two storage variants - 64GB or 128GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI on top and has dual SIM slot.
Camerawise, it sports 13-megapixel rear Pixelmaster camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens and Real Tone Flash. On the front there is an 5-megapixel shooter for taking selfies. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery and comes in Illusion White, Illusion Blue and Illusion Red colors.
The Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML) is priced at Rs. 22,999 for the 64GB variant. The 128GB variant pricing has not been announced.

AsusPro BU201, BU401 business-centric ultrabooks launched in India
The AsusPro BU201 features a 12.5-inch LED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. It runs 64-bit Windows 8.1 professional and is powered by Intel Core i5-4210U processor (2 cores, 4 threads, 1.7GHz base clock, up to 2.7GHz Turbo clock) aided by Intel HD Graphics 4400and 4GB RAM. The notebook comes with 500GB of hard disk drive storage, Microsoft Office 2013 trial pack, an HD webcam, MaxxAudio and SonicMaster-powered speakers, 2-cell battery and illuminated chiclet keyboard with backlit keys. In terms of connectivity it supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, an Ethernet port, a multi-format card reader, three USB 3.0 ports, and a mini DisplayPort.
The AsusPro BU402 sports a 14-inch LED backlit display with 1600 x 900 pixels resolution. It runs 64-bit Windows 7 professional which is upgradable to Windows 8 Professional. It has 4-cell battery and HDMI port, but lacks mini Display port. It comes pre-loaded with McAfee Internet Security 2012 pack. The rest of the specs are same as BU201.
The ASUSPro BU201 and BU401 are priced at Rs. 85,999 and Rs. 89,499 according. It will be available via major retail stores across the country.
Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition with 256GB storage announced
At an event in Sao Paulo, Asus introduced a new variant of ZenFone 2 Deluxe dubbed ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition. The phone comes with a massive 256GB storage capacity, other specs being similar to the regular version of ZenFone 2 Deluxe.
To recap, Asus ZenFone 2 features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 4GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear PixelMaster camera with Real Tone flash, 5-megapixel front shooter, Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI on top and 3000mAh battery.
The new ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition comes in Textured Black w/Red and Illusion White w/ Red hues.It comes with an exclusive pre-loaded version of Asphalt 8 for gamers. The Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition will arrive in Brazil in September. Asus did not disclose the price.
Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition comes soon after the ZenFone 2 Deluxe was launched for the Indian market with two storage models- 64GB and 128GB.
